Johan was born in Heidelberg Germany, lived in the UK and China before eventually emigrating to beautiful New Zealand. In 2012 Johan received a Bachelor in Health Science Acupuncture (HSc Acu) and a national diploma in Acupuncture. He has been practicing ever since. He takes frequent trips to China, the homeland of Acupuncture, for continued learning and further study to keep up with the latest techniques.
He is a NZ registered Acupuncturist and holds registration with the NZ Registration of Acupuncturists (NZRA). Johan is also a registered treatment provider for ACC.
Johan spends his spare time dedicated to martial arts such as Tae Kwon Do, in which he holds a 2. Dan black belt and in his prime was called-up in the German National Team. Later on he took up Kung Fu as well as the internal styles of Wu Dang Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Taoist Yoga and Meditation which all help heighten diagnostic skills.
“As I had my fair share of physical injuries, my objective is to relieve people’s suffering and pain, so they can get back to their busy lives and their beloved sport as quickly as possible and ultimately my aim is to prevent future injuries. But it is a misconception that acupuncture only alleviates pain, as the entirety of the Chinese health system is based on it, covering a wide range of bio-medical diseases. My personal passion lies in pain management, fertility, and mental-emotional diseases.”
I look forward to being of service to you.
